The messages on twitter and reddit are an attempt by the old TB admins not to lose the community and therefore the money they got from advertising, visits and paid or premium members of the forum... They say that this forum is a ¨HONEYPOT¨ I invite you to google what that means so that you understand that it has nothing to do with any forum at all... If you have doubts, you can simply create an account in this forum using a different email from the one you use for your daily movements on the internet and that's it... Accounts can be deleted at any time, because the forum is under construction, all of you can and should request the cancellation of the account to the admin via private message... And finally, I remind you that it's not bad to have competition, especially now that there are many users migrating to different sites and that resorting to accounts "to burn" on reddit to discredit other sites is a cowardly move...

A honeypot, or trap system1 or decoy,2 is a computer security tool arranged in a network or computer system to be the target of a possible computer attack, and thus be able to detect it and obtain information about it and the attacker.2
The main characteristic of this type of program is that it is designed not only to protect itself from a possible attack, but also to serve as an invisible decoy for the attacker, in order to detect the attack before it affects other critical systems. The honeypot, however, can be designed with multiple objectives, from simply warning of the existence of the attack or obtaining information without interfering with it, to trying to slow down the attack —sticky honeypots— and thus protect the rest of the system.2
In this way, there are low-interaction honeypots, used fundamentally as a security measure, and high-interaction honeypots, capable of gathering much more information and for purposes such as research.
